Massive Attack

Massive Attack emerged from the vibrant music scene of Bristol, England, in 1988, as an evolution of the collective The Wild Bunch. Founding members Robert "3D" Del Naja, Grant "Daddy G" Marshall, Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles, and Adrian "Tricky" Thaws (who left in 1994 for a solo career), are considered the architects of trip-hop, a genre that fuses experimental hip-hop with dub, jazz, soul, and dark electronica. Their seminal album "Blue Lines" (1991) not only introduced this new sound to the world with classics like "Unfinished Sympathy" but also established a new paradigm in music production.

Massive Attack's trajectory is marked by constant sonic evolution. "Protection" (1994) delved deeper into their signature sound, while "Mezzanine" (1998) catapulted them to international stardom, reaching number one on the UK charts and featuring the iconic single "Teardrop." This album showcased a darker, more distorted guitar-driven side, solidifying itself as a cult work. Over the years, they have collaborated with a notable list of guest vocalists such as Horace Andy, Shara Nelson, Tracey Thorn, Elizabeth Fraser, and Damon Albarn. Their live performances are a definitive musical experience, renowned for their intensity, the integration of striking visual elements, and an expanded repertoire spanning their influential career, promising a complete show and spectacular production.
